University pick and drop in Islamabad and Lahore: Air, NUST, FAST, Punjab University and UoL

Most students who carpool to campus are not looking for a ride. They are looking for a seat they can keep — the same car, the same stop and the same time every morning of the semester. In Pakistan that is called pick and drop, and almost all of it is arranged in Facebook and WhatsApp groups, where a good offer is buried under new messages by the next morning.

The list just below is live: it updates by itself from Sawarri’s ride board. Further down are notes on the university and college runs posted in October 2026 — eight to universities and three to colleges, in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore — as they stood on 1 November 2026. Nearly all of them were first posted in Facebook groups and copied onto the board so they stay searchable. The drivers have not confirmed them with us, so treat every line as a lead to call, not a booked seat.

Rides to campus right now

Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Air University and Bahria University

The clearest listing on this side leaves Bahria Town Phase 7 and Phase 8 and DHA Phase 1 and 4 at 8:00 AM for I-8, I-9, G-8, G-9, F-8, Bahria University and Air University, and comes back at 4:30 PM. The driver says the return can stretch to 5:00 PM.

Air University also sits at the end of two runs from the Rawalpindi side: Range Road to the FAST, NUST and Air University side of Islamabad, and a daily run from B-17 to E-8, F-10, G-10, Blue Area, NUST, FAST and Air University. Neither printed a departure time, so ask.

NUST and FAST

NUST H-12 has drawn more pick and drop offers than any other campus in the twin cities, and it has its own page: NUST pick and drop, with the pickup points drivers use from Bahria Town, Ghauri Town and Rawalpindi Saddar. The NUST H-12 stop page shows what is posted right now. FAST in H-11 is served by the same Range Road and B-17 runs.

MY University and Ibadat University

A university van for MY University and Ibadat University on Japan Road picks up across Rawalpindi: Six Road, Sadiqabad, Bilal Hospital, Khanna Road, Jahaz Ground, Khanna Pul, KRL Road, Dhok Kala Khan, Sanam Chowk, Ghauri Garden and Ghauri Town. Seats, timing and fare are agreed with the driver.

Lahore

University of Lahore

The University of Lahore on Raiwind Road has three listings, from three different sides of the city:

• Allama Iqbal Town, Sabzazar and Mustafa Town — Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Divine Gardens, Eden Avenue, DHA Phase 8, Eden City and Askari 10 — Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The same car also serves Lake City, Valencia and Bahria Town.
• Samanabad and Allama Iqbal Town — a daily service for students, teachers and staff, charged monthly, with the pickup time agreed with each passenger.

Punjab University

One run leaves Bhatta Chowk, Nishat Colony, Askari 8, Cantt and Walton at 7:30 AM for Punjab University and the area around it, and returns at 2:00 PM. The post does not say which days of the week it runs.

Colleges

• FC College from AWT Phase 2 — leaves around 8:00 AM and comes back about 2:00 PM. Anyone from AWT and the surrounding area can join.
• Kinnaird College from the Dental College side near Badshahi Mosque — daily, on college hours, in an air-conditioned car.
• Rahbar Medical and Dental College from Pak Arab Housing Scheme on Ferozepur Road — one seat for a female passenger, reaching at 8:00 AM and returning at 3:00 PM, by way of Walton Road, Nadeem Chowk, PAF Market and Jorray Pul.

What these listings leave out

Almost none of them prints a fare or a seat count, and several do not say which days they run. That is normal for pick and drop, where the price is agreed with each passenger, but it means the first call matters. Settle these before you pay anything:

• The fare, and whether it is per day or per month.
• Which days are included, and what happens during exams, semester breaks and public holidays.
• Whether the run is both ways. Morning-only seats are common, and afternoon class times vary more than morning ones.
• The exact pickup spot, and how long the driver waits.
• Who else is in the car. Some campus runs are for female passengers only or already carry women; ask directly.

How to find a seat to your campus

Open the Pick & Drop board and type your university into the destination — “University of Lahore” or “Air University” both work. If nothing matches, post the seat you need on offer or request a ride; drivers already making that run can see it for days, which a message in a group cannot do. The women-only rides filter narrows the board to seats for female passengers.

If you drive to campus yourself

If you make one of these runs every day with empty seats, post it once on Sawarri and mark it as a daily ride. You set the fare and keep all of it — Sawarri takes no commission. Your first ride can go up before your documents are checked, marked “Not verified yet”; from your second ride, your CNIC, licence and car need to be verified. Your first five rides are free to post, and from the sixth ride each listing costs 20 credits.
