1. Information we collect

To connect drivers and passengers, we collect the details you provide when you sign up and use Sawarri:

  • Account details — your name, mobile number, and email address.
  • Profile & role — whether you travel as a driver or a passenger.
  • Ride information — routes, dates, seats, and per-seat fares you post or book.
  • Sign-in data — if you continue with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name and email) to create your account.

2. How we use your information

We use your information only to run the carpooling service and keep it safe:

  • Matching passengers with drivers and showing relevant rides.
  • Letting riders and drivers contact each other to confirm a trip.
  • Sending you ride updates and account notifications, including via WhatsApp or email.
  • Preventing fraud, abuse, and unsafe behaviour on the platform.

3. Sharing with other users

Carpooling only works when riders and drivers can find and reach each other. When you book or post a ride, the other party can see your name and contact number so the trip can be arranged. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Keeping your data safe

We protect your account with secure sign-in and store sensitive information using industry-standard safeguards. While no online service can promise perfect security, we work to keep your data protected and limit access to it.

5. Your choices

You can review or update your profile details from your dashboard at any time. If you would like your account and personal data removed from Sawarri, contact us and we will help.
