Monthly pick and drop charges in Pakistan: what drivers are actually asking (November 2026)

Ask in any carpool group what a monthly pick and drop costs and you will get a dozen different answers. So here are the real numbers: every price drivers put on their daily pick and drop rides on Sawarri over the last month, what each price covers, and what it comes to over a month.

First, a warning about the numbers. Most drivers do not give a price at all. On 4 November, only 21 of the roughly 160 pick and drop rides on the board stated one, and only 15 of those said whether it was per trip, per day or per month. The rest say “confirm with the driver”, and you should.

RoutePriceDetails
Taxila and Wah Cantt (Barrier-2) to G-5 and G-6, IslamabadRs 30,000 a monthMonday to Friday, 8:00 AM, back 5:15 PM. Toyota Corolla, AC.
Malir Model Colony and Khokrapar to Korangi Industrial Area, KarachiRs 25,000 a monthMonday to Saturday, 8:00 AM, back 6:00 PM. Suzuki Alto.
Gulshan-e-Iqbal to Shahrah-e-Faisal (Fortune Tower) and JPMC, KarachiRs 20,000 a monthMonday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Quoted as a fixed monthly charge rather than per seat. Suzuki Alto VXL, AC.
DHA EME Sector to Sundar Industrial Estate, LahoreRs 10,000 a monthMonday to Friday, 8:30 AM, back 6:00 PM. Suzuki Cultus.

Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000 is a wide spread, and distance is only part of it. The car matters (the top price is for a Corolla), and so does what the price covers: one Karachi driver quotes Rs 20,000 as a fixed charge for the month rather than per seat. Lahore to Sundar Industrial Estate has more on the Rs 10,000 Lahore seat.

Per day and per trip prices, and what they come to over a month

RoutePrice as listedOver a month
Wah Cantt to IslamabadRs 950 a day, Monday to Friday. Toyota Corolla GLI, AC.About Rs 20,900 for 22 working days
Lala Rukh, Wah Cantt to E-11, IslamabadRs 450 a trip, every day. Suzuki Alto.About Rs 19,800 for 22 days there and back
Gulzar-e-Hijri to Sky Tower, Karachi (women only)Rs 1,100 a trip, Monday to Friday. Suzuki Alto.Ask for a monthly rate
Islamabad to HaripurRs 2,000 a trip, Monday to Thursday. Suzuki Mehran.Ask for a monthly rate
Gujranwala to LahoreRs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 a trip, from two drivers.Ask for a monthly rate
Ambore to Muzaffarabad (women only)Rs 500 a trip, Thursdays.Weekly, not daily

Wah Cantt to Islamabad is the clearest comparison, because three drivers price the same corridor three different ways. Per day and per trip both come to roughly Rs 20,000 a month; the monthly price, in a Corolla, is Rs 30,000.

Per-trip prices suit people who travel now and then. If you will go every working day, ask the driver for a monthly price instead, and agree it before the first trip.

Prices that do not say what they cover

Some drivers type a number and leave the basis blank. On the ride page these show “confirm with the driver”, and that is exactly what to do:

Rs 18,000 for six days a week is almost certainly a monthly price, and Rs 450 from New City is almost certainly per trip. But “almost certainly” is not what you want to find out on payday. Ask.

What moves the price

Whatever you agree, write down the days, the times, what happens on holidays and how much notice each side gives. Monthly pick and drop: how it works and what to agree up front has the full list.

If you are a driver setting a price

Work out what the commute costs you for a month: fuel for the round trip on every working day, plus any parking or tolls. Divide it between everyone in the car, yourself included. That gives you a fair starting point, and how to split fuel costs fairly in a carpool shows the sums.

When you post, pick per month, per day or per trip in the “That price is” box. Passengers see that label next to the price; without it, Rs 2,000 could be a bargain or a lot. Driving every working day? Choose Every weekday under “How often” and the ride moves itself forward each day. You set the fare and keep all of it, because Sawarri takes no commission, and your first ride is free.

Find a pick and drop

Browse the pick and drop board, or start from your city: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi. Nothing on your route? Post a ride request with your timing and the price you can pay, and drivers on that route can call you.

Prices are as drivers listed them on Sawarri between 5 October and 4 November 2026. One more Karachi listing said Rs 1,000 a month for “any place in Karachi”; that looks like a typing slip, so it is left out.
